I DID IT!

It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post, but life happens, school starts, etc. So, I have some blogging to catch up on. So first things first, I finished Charlie’s scarf!!

It’s so soft!! Charlie loves it, so I’m happy. She even sleeps with it sometimes, which makes my mom heart happy.

I was able to figure out where I had messed up (discussed in the last blog post) and was able to fix it myself. Here is the finished product! I did 24 stitches to get the width where I wanted it, used two full cakes of yarn, and I honestly do not know how many rows there are in this thing as I stopped counting. They make counters, so I think I’ll buy a pack of them to start using so I can keep a log of what I make, what I did to make it, the materials used, etc.

I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made. I actually finished her scarf and started on one for Tori. With Tori’s, I tried using the purl stitch so that their scarves would be completely different, but I could tell I wasn’t doing something quite right so I’ve decided to keep doing the garter stitch for this first scarf for her. They are at an age where they MUST be completely, 110% different from each other. They can’t like the same colors, wear similarly colored clothing, etc. *insert mildly frustrated mom eye-roll here* I’m not sure where this law is written, but apparently, it is known. Pic of Tori’s scarf below!
